What budget Android device to acquire that works?

Post by givechanceachance »

Hi,

Been sitting on a research project at esui.cc; I need to be able to have an Android capable device that can also display output to HDMI live. I picked-up a EOL BB10 device (BlackBerry Z10) and the Bluetooth failed to connect to hand-band though purchased Mind Monitor through Amazon store on same device and that launched fine.

I also have a USB C adapter to HDMI for devices that can output via USB C HDMI. I thought my Unihertz Titan would be able to output and assume wrong when I looked into it.

I have the Muse 2 head band.

Specific research for this need: https://up.esui.cc/research/active

Thank you in advance.

If you just want the data on an external screen, you can stream Mind Monitor data to any Mac/PC. For the display you can use Muse Lab, or write your own code to display the data however you like. Details are in the FAQ on the website.

If you want the phone screen on a Mac/PC then I would highly recommend the app Reflector by Air Squirrels.

Finally, if you want to use a cable, then you need a phone that supports HDMI OTA. My old HTC ONE works, but I'm not sure of other specific devices.
