constant red line in eeg heatmap

Hi,

I recently purchased Muse S.

In mind monitor, i can see a constant red line in this eeg heatmap after 40z hz on the right,screenshots attached).i tried adjusting the band here and there,but the red line still remains.Is it because the piece is defective or am i missing something. thanks

That's 50Hz powerline interference. You're probably standing near to a mains electricity light.
This won't affect your brainwave results at the frequency for those are much lower, but if you want the red line to go away, move away from anything powered by mains electricity, or try during the daytime with the lights off.
