Channel Locations for Aux

Post by NeuroSpa »

Hi Everyone,
I am using Matlab to import MindMonitor data and create a FFT. I am able to import the channel locations automatically for AF7, AF8, TP9, TP10.

I use the Aux electrode to collect O1 site data and would love to represent that on the FFT Brain Diagrams at the different frequencies - However, for the life of me I can't get the O1 in the correct location.

Here's the closest I have come:

| Channel Label ("label") | O1 |
|-------------------------|-------------|
| Polar angle ("theta") | -135 |
| Polar radius ("radius") | 0.6 |
| Cartesian X ("X") | -46.5147 |
| Cartesian Y ("Y") | -85.6192 |
| Cartesian Z ("Z") | -45.707 |
| Spherical horiz. angle ("sph_theta") | 135 |
| Spherical azimuth angle ("sph_phi") | -135 |
| Spherical radius ("sph_radius") | 107.6262 |

It would be awesome to build spreadsheet with the location data for different areas - so that when anyone wants to use aux to check out different locations - it's easy to "map" in EEGLAB.

Let me know if you guys know of the location information

Nevermind - I found a workaround with autodetect. I just go to channel locations, hit cancel, change the name to AUX to the channel that I want (O1). Then close the window. Then go to channel locations, and it OK. This then imports the correct information from the locations they have. Then the auto detect works perfect. No need for a data base or typing in all the sections.
