Change of streaming protocole in the previous update ?

Post by TiffAtt »

Hi,
I'm using Mind Monitor for an art installation developed in 2018.
We are using the same equipment as our previous show which hasn't been updated (early 2020), but our software doesn't receive the data from Mind Monitor anymore.

Since it is the only variable that changed, I was wondering if there were some modifications in the new Mind Monitor app update that could cause that problem?

I can see with my technical team to make an update to our software if that is the case.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

The OSC streaming protocol is the same. There are added elements for the Muse S, like extra RAW EEG channels, but the main data spec is the same.
The most likely problem is a firewall blocking the traffic, so I would check that first.
If you want to test you are receiving data, there is a test app here which will just show the data coming in:

Thanks a lot for your quick response, we'll look into it.
Is there a version of the OSCmonitor for Mac? I couldn't find it online

I only wrote OSCMonitor for PC.
There is a similar app for Mac here: https://www.kasperkamperman.com/blog/pr ... tamonitor/
