Negative readings

Post by Se7en »

Dear James

As we established in another thread the scale on the left side is a DB reading.
How can a brainwave drop below 0?
I can't produce that but I have seen gamma dropping below 0.

Thanks in advance

Negative numbers are normal when logarithmic functions are used.
Part of the equation does a log10() of the power, so anything that was less than 1 will go negative.

Just like temperature can go negative, so can log derived values.

It doesn't mean anything in particular other than it's a low value.

Thanks for the fast reply.

Would that mean the brainwave is dropped out of the measurable scale?
