Too much NaN in EEG values

Hi,
Just got a muse and muse monitor. Really like how easy it all is but I get too many NaN values in the EEG values in Muse Monitor. The TP10 is NaN most of the time and the other inputs are NaN maybe 30% of the time.
Muse app works fine and when I use Muse Direct on Windows I see TP10 just fine and the other EEG signals are good. So I think the hardware is okay.
Is there some setting that is causing all the NaN values I can change or any other suggestion?

Your phone likely has a bad Bluetooth chip unfortunately. I've seen this before with a few LG G6's. What phone do you have?

I have a Huawei p10 pro. I thought maybe hardware but the Muse app works fine showing good on all 4 headband sensors and I have knocked up an android app using the unity example from muse and that pumps out pretty good data on all 4 sensors. All on the same phone. Let me know if you'd like me to send you some data. Maybe the bluetooth library is different?

Please send me a five minute recording with the interval set to constant.
After putting on the headband, sit still for two minutes before starting the recording to give the sensors time to make proper contact with the skin.

For those watching this thread on the forum, Paul's Huawei p10 pro appears to have a faulty bluetooth chip, resulting in bad data coming from the Muse via the Interaxon SDK.

I would agree that Muse Monitor does not work on my p10 pro. However, I use bluetooth often with the Muse app, headphones, Mi band and other devices with no problem so I'm not convinced I can say the chip is faulty. Muse Monitor works great on my Asus phone and James has been very quick and thorough in looking into the issue. Cheers.

Actually, I think it's very likely that the Muse app is not working on your p10, but that it is just not telling you about this.
The Muse app also uses the same Interaxon SDK (Software Development Kit) that Muse Monitor uses, so it's extremely likely that it is receiving exactly the same fractured data.
There is a bug in the SDK which I have told Interaxon about, where if the Phone never receives a good block of data from the Muse, the sensor's always read "good connection". I believe this is because the variable is initialized at "Good" and because it never receives enough data to decide if it's good or bad, it just stays at Good.
You could test this by running a Muse session, then deliberately taking off one of the ear sensors and seeing if the app complains.
