I recently started using Mind Monitor and I'm particularly interested in tracking my brain states for meditation, especially reaching theta states or even lucid dreaming.
I’m wondering:
- Which chart(s) should I focus on to determine when I’m in a deep meditative or lucid dreaming state?
- Are there any known patterns or trends I should look for during meditation sessions?
Any insights, personal experiences, or example readings would be super helpful!

Beta waves are alright for meditation to disruptive point, however better use your mind for just that to theta waves (4-8 Hz) for deep meditation or lucid dreaming. You will see them peak as you begin to enter into those. Also, pay attention to smooth transitions from alpha to theta – that’s a rosy sign you’re going deeper. It’s all about trial and error and trying to figure out what works for you.
