Really asymmetrical results

Is it normal for a graph from a Muse 2 to look this asymmetrical, or does this suggest I might have a defective unit?

You don't have electrode TP10 (right ear) properly seated on your head, so it's throwing off your "Right" and "Back" results.
You want thin crisp lines on all four electrodes. AF7 and AF8 are excellent. TP9 is good. TP10 I would guess has some hair under it, or is on a patch of dry skin.

Thank you! I kept nudging it on my head and eventually TP10 looked like TP9. It seems REALLY sensitive to positioning though; the tiniest little nudge can send either TP9 or TP10 back into looking like chaos... is that just the reality of dealing with this headset?

Yes, try tightening the ear clips to provide a little more pressure.
