Andoid Muse Monitor Updates

Hi!
I've commented some of this on a separate topic but thought it deserved on of its own.

It's been mentioned PPG recording is available on iPhones. I can't yet see it on my Android version. Would it please be possible to make this hidden update available to Android users, too? I am a PhD researcher using Muse and being able to do it on my phone with everything including PPG would be a godsend. Other settings available on iPhone but not Android (onedrive upload, FFT options, etc) would also be amazing!

Many many thanks,
Marco

P.S. For future reference, what is your preferred way to cite the Mind Monitor?

My plan was to figure out a good Pulse algorythm, implement it and then update both versions of the app, but I just haven't had time to work on it, with my day job and family obligations.. sorry! I will add the hidden raw ppg data at some point, but I don't have an eta on that right now.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Other settings available on iPhone but not Android (onedrive upload, FFT options, etc)"? Other than the PPG data and Dropbox integration, both the Apple and Android versions have the same options (unless I've forgotten something!).

For citing I'd please like: "Mind Monitor by James Clutterbuck https://www.Mind-Monitor.com"

Hi James,

Many thanks for your response! I really appreciate the work you do on this and understand the job & other obligations limitations. Looking forward to eventual Android PPG data.

By other settings, I meant dropbox integration and choosing FFT resolution (I don't think I can see that one on Android?).

Thanks for the citation! If you ever wanted an academic publication out of this I'd recommend looking into JOSS (https://joss.theoj.org/) - I'm sure it would be suitable and you deserve all credit possible!

Kind regards,
Marco

Android lets you send files to any apps on your phone that can handle files, so if you want to use Dropbox, you can just install the Dropbox app and it'll show up in the list when you stop recording. Same for any other cloud service. The Apple version only has specific Dropbox integration because Apple locks everything down, so I had to manually code in Dropbox!

Regarding the FFT window, Android has all the same settings as the Apple version. The Android version settings page differs in that it will only show you settings for the graph that you have open. So switch to the discrete graph, then press the settings button.. maybe I should make it the same as the iPhone version, where you just see all the settings all the time?

Makes sense on both fronts, thanks! Did not realise about the shifting settings, but now I know it is clear. I was used to the iPhone FFT settings hence the confusion.
