Alpha is not worthless! it's the primary frequency in all master meditators and is associated with relaxed, non-attached consciousness. Check out the awakened mind pattern, alpha is always the dominate frequency.

App should follow the outline here as closely as possible https://www.mdpi.com/1424-8220/19/23/5200/htm
Is neurosky also supported? Please also allow for hemisphere specific feedback, I am interested in gamma on the left hemispehre.

Just to be clear, you realize I don't have to help you. Right?
You can code your own app and do what you want. we all have access to the raw eeg from James's app.

Normally I'll gladly take request and put them in the version 2. But man, it feel like you're a bit demanding and unkind.

I apologize, it is out of frustration (this has been a withstanding issue for years) and yesterday was not a very good day. Anyways, the studies provided show that gamma is what's relevant in actual meditation practices, and this mimics my experience. Alpha can be increased by closing your eyes, it has no relevance to meditation or intelligence. Any beginner meditator can increase alpha, gamma is the realm of the adepts. The study in bold had negative feedback, that is when you go below a given threshold a negative sound is produced inorder to maintain the heightened awareness state that accompanies gamma. The studies also ought to be beneficial in your meditation practice and software development.

Hi everyone!
A quick update, from now on, I'll be creating .mxf files (Max Collectives) instead of .app or .exe . The .mxf is code that you open inside of the StandaloneMAIN app that I created.
The reason for this is that creating an app takes about 1Gb of space (per app), while the .mxf is about 2-10 Mb. And I don't need to create a separate windows and mac version. I only have access to a mac right now so making an .exe copy of every app i make would be a hassle. You just download the StandaloneMAIN app once and can open all types of .mxf and .maxpatch (even ones that I don't make!).
You just can't edit them, but they are fully functional. I'll probably make a video tutorial about this.

the standaloneMAIN app is $1 because gumroad says:
"if you're using our Pay What You Want feature, and setting the lowest possible price to be $0, then the max product size can be 250 MB"

and the standaloneMAIN app is 929MB.
... essentially it's this size because it ensures that there will be no missing code, files, subpatchers, etc. (and I want everything to run smoothly when people use this).

This app is wonderful... truly. The design, the UI, the tutorial all done brilliantly. Just installed today and I look forward to getting to know it better over the next few days. Thank you for the hard work and great design.
