High beta & gamma during painful, sad cognition

Hi all, is anyone aware of research showing elevated beta and gamma waves in the presence of painful cognition? See attached image of a recent session involving intentional recall of painful memories, followed by deep breathing in an effort to self-soothe.

The deliberate recall of events saturated with torture and terror , I think would involve beta and gamma because a person is back in a time that demanded quick and full thinking
