[URGENT] Blink detection

Post by Moaster »

Hi James,

first of all, thank you for your application. Without it I probably couldn't have conducted my research.
I've got a question regarding the blink detection. Do you know how it is detected or which algorithm is used for that?

I'd really appreciate your help.
Greetings,
Jonas

If you look at the RAW EEG, you can see large spikes when you blink. That's how it's done :-)

Yeah I know how it’s done manually, but how does the algorithm process the data? Is it like an R-Peak detection in ECG ?
My problem is I need to write down in the methods how the algorithm works (preferably the name of the detection method so I can link it to scientific paper).
:D
Also, is it used on only selected raw freq channels or on all 4 of them?

Thank you!
Jonas

Sorry, you'd need to ask Interaxon for the specifics of their algorithm and I don't think they'll give you a detailed answer, as this is part of their protected IP in the licensed SDK.
