Relative values in ipad app?

Post by Transformation »

Hi all,

I just purchased mind monitor in the apple store and read an article where James mentioned using relative frequency graph for the purpose i am looking at.
Somehow i do not understand how to turn the view into that. I can switch between absolute, raw eeg, spectrum etc but relative does not show up. Which setttings do i have to use to arrive there? Thank you!

The app only shows Absolute values. Relative is something you can understand just by looking at the Absolutes.
Lets say you're going for High Relative Alpha (for relaxation). Then if Alpha goes up, this is good, but also if any other value goes down, this is also good.

Relative is like a race; if your car/horse/dog/etc is in the lead, then that's good(high), but the further behind the others are the better(higher).
I hope that makes sense! :-)

Hi James,

thanks a lot for replying. In that case I will sort out the dropbox syncing thing.
I just thought it would be nice to look at it in a glance while meditating every now and then - with absolute values my mind has to be too active to understand.
Is there a tech reason behind that not being included in the app? just curious, as that view is really cool for noobs like me.
But am reading up on the heatmap also.

Great app!

I'm just trying to make the app as simple as possible and there are already a TON of options in settings ;-)
