Compatibility MUSE 2 Latest Model MU-03

Post by sbraninburg »

Hi There - I just purchased a muse 2 and mind monitor only to find I couldn't ever get the stream to work. In looking at the compatibility this latest version does not show on the list. Will there be an update to work with the latest model?

The MU-03 "Muse 2" is an older model from 2018 and is fully supported. Currently Mind Monitor supports all versions of the Muse up to the latest 2021 model Muse S Gen 2 sleep bands

If you're having trouble streaming, the first thing to check is that your firewall is set to allow UDP traffic over port 5000. To test, I would recommend disabling your firewall and then once you have everything working, turning it back on and adding an allow rule.

Hi James - thank you for your prompt response. When I open Mind Monitor it never connects via bluetooth. I open the muse app and it connects right away. In reviewing other notes from the site, it indicated to close the muse app properly, which I have tried, but I just cannot get the muse to connect to the MindMonitor initially. Are there any other tips for initial bluetooth connection?

Oh right, sorry, when you said streaming I thought you were using the streaming data option to stream data to your Mac/PC!
The Muse can only connect to one app at a time, so you need to fully close the Interaxon Muse Calm app before using Mind Monitor and vice versa. On most devices you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen to show running apps, then swipe it off the top of the screen to force close it if necessary.
