I am a neuroscientist working on a research project about meditation. I wanted to buy a Dreem2 sleep tracker. But there was no response from Dreem 2. Do they sell the product only with an expensive price plan? Dr. Coady Rall from Tech for Psych has put the device on the list of the devices which he advices not to buy in the year 2022. What about Muse S? As far as I know, it is not validated clinically as sleep EEG device. I asked Rob ter Horst from the Quantified Scientist to compare it to validated EEG device. Please support me.
The Muse S sleep app delivers no EEG data, and cannot be paired simultaneously to the sleep app and to the Mind Monitor. Is it possible to wear a Muse S and a Muse 1 or 2 with the Mind Monitor app at the same time?
Is it possible to use Muse S and a Muse 1 or 2 with Mind Monitor at the same time?

No, there would be too much data being transmistted over Bluetooth. As such, you can only connect one device at a time to Mind Monitor.Peter Gamma wrote: ↑Thu Feb 17, 2022 2:18 pm Is it possible to wear a Muse S and a Muse 1 or 2 with the Mind Monitor app at the same time?
Also I don't think you can physically wear both at the same time and get good sensor contact; escpically around the ears.

Thanks for your answer, James. Well, you can use two different smartphones to solve the Bluetooth problem, it is about two different apps. One smartphone can run the Mind Monitor app, and one running the Muse app. Concerning the sensor contact, I will try it all the same.

Finally received an answer from Dreem. The Dreem headband is still available for research (but not for the general public). Therefore a valided sleep tracker based on the Mind Monitor with EEG data still would be helpful for the general public.

For scientists and clinicians with a lot of money: request a quote for Dreem 3. For all others, choose this option based on Mind Monitor:
