Very High Values
Hello my name is Scott and I live in Vegas, I have the muse head band. When I first received it I felt it was a great item. As I used it I found apps of course, and a couple of those apps are Opti Brain, and Mind Monitor. I never gave mind monitor much attention. Until recently when I started to receive very high values inside opti brain. After going back and forth with the developer about the accuracy of the app as well as the muse head band they directed me to mind monitor which I already had. I still get very high values, and at this point I am starting to doubt the device and its accuracy . The opti developers told me to not move my face due to it will pick up surface bio-electrical signals. Then they told me these were filtered out. Right now I am doubting whether the headband actually works as advertised. Thankfully I found this forum, and hopefully there are some folks here who may be able to troubleshoot this with me to help me figure out what I am doing wrong if I am doing something wrong or do I just have a very active brain. Which would not surprise me with my ADHD. I am not sure what information I should post so I will wait for a request. Thank you everyone and I really am happy I found this group.

Can you please share a recording so I can see what you mean by very high values?

what was the conclusion of your high values?

That’s what I am trying to determine. I get an alert about high values. Here is a couple screen shots

Re: Very High Values
That's not Mind Monitor, so I'm not 100% sure, but Delta is very high and that's usually because of EMG (muscle movement) interference.quarinteen wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 1:05 pm That’s what I am trying to determine. I get an alert about high values. Here is a couple screen shots

If you record with Mind Monitor, you'll be able to tell if that's the case by looking at the RAW EEG. If you have thin crisp lines, then you have good sensor contact, but if they're very fuzzy, then the sensors are not on properly, or you're picking up EMG from facial muscle movement.

Can you post an example of crisp lines?

Can you post an example of crisp lines? I just did a capture in monitor then used optibrain. Opti is saying high values again.
Here is the monitor values

There isn't enough data in your recording to draw any conclusions from (only 92 data points over 92 seconds), but it all looks perfectly normal and within what I would call "normal" ranges. You have very high Delta, which means you probably have a bad connection on one or more sensors, but to tell that you'd need to look at the RAW EEG signal, recorded at it's full 256Hz rate, not the default 1Hz rate.
Please record at least 5 minutes at full data rate. Go to settings and set the "Recording Interval" to "Constant". That will give you 256Hz RAW EEG data.
For thin crisp lines, see the homepage screenshot of the RAW EEG screen: https://mind-monitor.com/img/mm-screen-3.jpg
