Poor Signal Quality
Poor Signal Quality
I've recently been putting water on the forehead band if my 2016 Muse to increase signal quality but this morning my signal quality drastically reduced after I did so. Normally the amplitude of the middle two signals is far lower and the waveform less erratic. More concerning is the constant undifferentiated oscillation of the TP electrodes (top and bottom signals). Any ideas what might be causing these aberrant signals?

Re: Poor Signal Quality
You likely have hair in the way of the sensors, or the contact pressure is too low. Try tightening the band.
Regarding water; you should only be wiping the sensor band with a damp finger. This is a temporary measure to encourage a thin film of sweat to form, which is necessary for electrical conductivity, so make sure your forehead isn't wet. Regular water won't conduct electricity, only slightly salty sweat will.
