Re: AUXL, AUXR for Muse S (2) for EEG and EMG.

Ah okay thanks. That is what I was suspecting. So I'd need to do it client side.

Re: Operant Conditioning Best Practices

Yes. I'm pondering the negative vs positive reinforcement. Negative reinforcement removes to silence. Positive is the typical add something (increase pitch, birds in muse). Negative is removing something (like the wind in muse). I intend to be agnostic and make it an option (positive/negative) And t...

Re: Intro guides to neurofeedback and brain regions.

Thanks. I don't necessarily see it as that either, I see it as a relay for Muse to other tools and systems (albeit it's messy out there). I was reflecting on comments when people start diving deeper, you seem to respond thet your focus is on relaxation, not deeper analysis. But thanks again for crea...

Re: AUXL, AUXR for Muse S (2) for EEG and EMG.

I understand. I'm suggesting that there can be a configuration in Mind Monitor that allows you to promote the aux electrode to be considered a new EEG electrodes location (ie: AUXL = C3, AUXR = C4. (Or whatever location the user wants). The checkbox includes the values in the raw output and the raw ...

Re: AUXL, AUXR for Muse S (2) for EEG and EMG.

I sense a resistance to adding an AUX average, or even a mapping of AUXL and AUX9 to electrode points. That would at least allow inclusion of odd/even into Left/Right and Front/Back/Central. My understanding is that in the CSV output, there is band power for and raw, averaged on the second (based on...

Re: Intro guides to neurofeedback and brain regions.

Thanks. That had the sort of references I was looking at. In particular - Marzbani, H., Marateb, H. R., & Mansourian, M. (2016). Neurofeedback: a comprehensive review on system design, methodology and clinical applications. Basic and Clinical Neuroscience, 7(2), 143-158. http://dx.doi.org/10.154...

Intro guides to neurofeedback and brain regions.

Hey, Looking for any references on reasonable interpretation of meditative states. I'm just starting, and am finding that by relative beta is usually relatively high. I can see clearly movement in other waves when I'm trying to meditate, and even differences when I'm focusing on chakra energy (playi...

Operant Conditioning Best Practices

Hi, Looking at the neurofeedback apps, there seems to be a focus on increasing noise (ie: positive reinforcement) vs reducing noise (ie: negative reinforcement). I would have assumed that the focus on removing noise to be at the mentally quiet state would be more effective than increasing something ...

AUXL, AUXR for Muse S (2) for EEG and EMG.

Hi, I recently got the current muse S, and hacked a 5 wire micro USB (blue/gree) cable to include EMG electrodes. They work surprisingly well and I can definitely see the muscles flex and relax. (Although I question the reference point being in the forehead.) Although it is reasonable to stream OSC,...
