Thanks, James. I am in North America and surrounded by powerlines
I am glad (I think) it the spike is not emanating from my brain!

Gamma Wave Frequencies
Hi James, Lately I am primarily observing my brainwaves using your discrete frequency view. FYI: I was meditating to binaural beats and the targeted frequencies did not spike for me. Listening to classical music makes the monitor dance at all frequencies. My question is related to the black colored ...

Re: Frequencies of different bands
thanks for the thorough answer, James! Now I need to read up and better understand power spectral density, so you can be sureI'm not a neuroscientist (yet). The frequency graph is very helpful, and I believe having the alpha at a higher power than say beta is what I'l getting and what you think I sh...

Frequencies of different bands
Three somewhat-related questions: 1. What is the Y axis on the online chart? 2. Considering alpha and beta et. al. vibrate at different frequency ranges, how do the relative or absolute charts (or the live data) give me the necessary feedback to improve my meditation practice? 3. is there a way to t...

turn off muse-s light
I got the Muse-S and want to record my sleeping brainwaves using Mind Monitor. Unfortunately the orange light annoys not only me, but my wife. I can not find a setting to turn this off and I'm not sure if James has enough magic to do this without the help of the muse people. I posted to their forum ...

Raising Theta with Binaural Beats
Do you agree that a high theta means a deeper meditative state then high alpha? I have been listening to Binaural Beats where different frequencies are isolated. However, I always see Alpha at the peak and Theta kind of bounces around, and Gamma is lowest. Any suggestions what goals to set using min...

Re: Absolute brainwaves in online charts?
James, do you prefer reading the absolute chart vs the relative? I see that is the default. Also how do you feel about analyzing the average minutes vs. all data points? I'm trying to get my arms around what trends to look for.

Re: delta
Hi All, I have been playing with this app and my new Muse-S for about a week. My understanding of Delta waves is they are slow and signify deep sleep states. However they spike when i open my eyes during meditation and look at the graph. I just did a workout (spin cycle) and sweated up my headband L...
